EMAIL CLIENT CONFIGURATION

Email clients such as (Outlook, Eudora, and Netscape) need to be configured to send and receive email through our servers.

Specify your Mail Servers

Use the values below in your mail account configuration screen within your email client program:

SMTP Server:
  smtp.oklahoma-isp.net
POP/IMAP Server:
  pop.oklahoma-isp.net

POP/POP3 and SMTP Server Settings

STEP 1a: If you have an oklahoma-isp.net or okiemail.net email addresses:

  • Enter just the first part of your email address (the part before the @ symbol) as your POP user name. For example, if your email address is jdoe@okiemail.net, you would enter: jdoe

STEP 1b: If your email account is under your own domain name:

  • Enter the entire email address (e.g. jdoe@johndoesdomain.com) as your POP user name.

  • NOTE: Some email clients will not accept the at sign "@" as part of the user name. If this is the case, substitute the pound sign "#". (e.g. jdoe#johndoesdomain.com).

  • NOTE: Some versions of Eudora don't have a separate setting for the SMTP server - instead, they have you specify the user name and SMTP server all in one place, separated by the at "@" sign. In this case, enter the entire email address with the pound sign as described above, followed by the at sign, followed by the SMTP server. For example: jsmith#johnsdomain.com@smtp.oklahoma-isp.net

STEP 2: Enter your password in the space provided.

STEP 3: If an option for "POP before SMTP" authentication is available, enable it.

  • NOTE: Do not enable any other SMTP authentication options.
